For this assignment, we were asked to be creative and make our own Periodic Table to increase our understanding of it. Here is mine:
In the Periodic Table of Buildings, there are many buildings and have different amounts of doors, lock, and flowers. In it, the Buildings represent the Atom, doors represent Protons, locks represent Neutrons, and flowers represent Electrons. The different types of flowers represent the energy levels. Red flowers are the first energy level, blue flowers are the second, purple is third, and green is fourth.. The ‘buildings’ are organized into groups, similar to the Periodic Table of Elements. The groups are Houses, Rental Houses Police Stations, Fire Stations, Hospitals, Hotels, and Apartment Buildings. The groups represent, non-metals, halogens, Alkali metals, Alkali earth metals, basic metals, noble gasses, and transition metals respectively. The Rental houses are very similar in structure to Houses. The different types of buildings are located in different cities; City of Bluetopia, City of New Redland, and City of Cyanyork. These cities represent the larger groups of metals, metalloids, and non-metals. There are more locks than doors on some of the doors for more security. This represents there being more Neutrons than Protons in the Atom for stability. The Atomic Mass is represented as the price of the doors and locks. The buildings that have more than 8 flowers of one type are from the 4th period from the Periodic Table. That type is purple. Like in the fourth period in the periodic table, the third energy level backfills, Similarly, purple backfills in the periodic table of buildings. For more stability, electrons back fill the previous energy level; to represent that, the flowers that backfill are so that if the flower pot falls from a higher place, it could damage something.
